As I approached, he took off his hat, the universal sign of courtesy and/or mourning.“I have to talk to you about what you’re wearing. In my 25 years at Pebble Beach, I’ve never seen clothing like this and I need to know more.”
Once I emotionally recovered from what seemed like impending dismissal from the property, he introduced himself as the head teaching pro, and Kevin and I proceeded to chat all things Narnia, golf and the good > safe mantra.

We’ve kept in touch now for close to a year and he occasionally gives updates about his students rocking the 2Putt necklace.
With the tournament happening this week, he shared this photo of him with Pau Gasol and it blew me away. I haven’t fully processed the wildness of having the teaching pro at pebble beach repping Good Lion at their tournament, but boy am I grateful and amazed. Huge thanks to Kevin for the love and shoutout to Nick for making the round possible.
